Description
A delicious and rich seafood dish featuring lobster tails baked in a creamy garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lobster tails (approximately 6–8 ounces each)
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Carefully slice the top of the lobster tails with kitchen scissors, making a cut down the center but stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull the shell apart to reveal the succulent meat inside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and then add the chopped garlic, cooking for 1-2 minutes until it becomes aromatic, taking care not to let it brown.
- Mix in the lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if desired), and season with salt and pepper. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the heavy cream until fully combined.
- Position the lobster tails on a baking sheet with the meat facing upwards. Drizzle the rich garlic butter sauce generously over the exposed lobster meat.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat turns opaque and is fully cooked.
- Once done, take it out and sprinkle with fresh parsley for a vibrant touch. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
Notes
- For an added depth of flavor, consider incorporating a dash of smoked paprika into the garlic butter.
- If you enjoy grilling, prepare the lobster tails on a preheated grill for about 8-10 minutes, basting them with the garlic butter for a delicious finish.
