Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
- 2 medium apples, diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- Graham crackers, pretzels, or sliced fruit for dipping
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in the sour cream until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, toss the diced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon to prevent browning and add flavor.
- Fold the apple mixture into the cream cheese mixture, then gently fold in half of the caramel sauce and the chopped nuts, if using.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top.
- Serve immediately with graham crackers, pretzels, or sliced fruit for dipping.
Notes
- For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and sour cream.
- Add a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of maple syrup for extra flavor.
