- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup frozen hash browns, thawed
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
- Stir in the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, thawed hash browns, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set in the center and lightly golden on top.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
