Description
Cool Whip Candy is a delightful treat that combines creamy peanut butter and Cool Whip, coated in chocolate for an easy indulgence.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup Cool Whip
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips (milk or dark)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, Cool Whip, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- Place the dish in the freezer for about 1 hour, or until the mixture is firm.
- While the peanut butter layer is chilling, melt the chocolate chips and vegetable oil together in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
- Once the peanut butter layer is firm, remove it from the freezer and cut it into small squares or rectangles.
- Dip each piece into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated, and place it back on the parchment-lined dish.
- Return the coated pieces to the freezer for an additional 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
Notes
- For a crunchy texture, add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or crushed pretzels to the peanut butter mixture.
- Substitute the chocolate coating with white chocolate for a different flavor profile.
