Description
Indulge in this creamy Coffee Panna Cotta, a delightful dessert that combines the rich flavors of coffee and cream.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 3 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and instant coffee granules. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture is hot but not boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot cream mixture and whisk until fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or ramekins. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- To serve, run a knife around the edge of the panna cotta and gently invert onto a plate, or serve directly in the cups.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use espresso instead of instant coffee.
- Add a sprinkle of cocoa powder or chocolate shavings on top for garnish.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut milk for the heavy cream and whole milk.
