Description

Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna is a deliciously unique dessert that combines the flavors of cinnamon rolls and apple pie in a delightful layered dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 4 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss until the apples are well coated.
  3. Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Cut each roll into quarters.
  4. Layer half of the cinnamon roll pieces in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the melted butter over the cinnamon roll pieces.
  6. Spread half of the apple mixture over the cinnamon rolls. If using, sprinkle half of the pecans and raisins on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining cinnamon roll pieces, melted butter, apple mixture, and any remaining nuts or raisins.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and the apples are tender.
  9. Remove from the oven and drizzle with caramel sauce. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add a layer of cream cheese frosting between the layers.
  • Substitute the Granny Smith apples with your favorite apple variety, such as Honeycrisp or Fuji, for a different flavor profile.
