A creamy and delicious Chocolate Pumpkin Mousse that combines the flavors of chocolate and pumpkin, perfect for fall.

- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold the melted chocolate into the pumpkin mixture until fully incorporated.
- Carefully fold the whipped cream into the chocolate pumpkin mixture until no white streaks remain.
- Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Serve chilled, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the pumpkin mixture for a subtle spicy kick.
