  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter and cocoa powder for greasing ramekins

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Grease four 6-ounce ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder, tapping out the excess.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  4. Add the powdered sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Add the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
  6. Gently fold in the flour and a pinch of salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
  8. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cakes sit for 1 minute.
  10. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate and gently lift to release the cake. Serve immediately, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh berries.
