Description

A decadent dessert featuring layers of creamy chocolate cheesecake, chocolate pudding, and crushed cookies, topped with chocolate shavings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup chocolate pudding (prepared)
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies (like Oreos)
  • 1 cup chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips
  • Fresh berries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. In a trifle dish or individual serving cups, layer half of the cream cheese mixture at the bottom.
  5. Add a layer of chocolate pudding on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Sprinkle half of the crushed chocolate cookies over the pudding layer.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining cream cheese mixture, chocolate pudding, and crushed cookies.
  8. Top the trifle with chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a layer of chocolate ganache between the layers.
  • You can also substitute the chocolate cookies with graham crackers for a different texture.
  • Add fresh berries on top for a pop of color and a fruity contrast.
