- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, frozen mixed vegetables, chicken broth, 1 cup of milk, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Add the melted butter, 1 cup of milk, and egg. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Spoon the batter over the chicken mixture in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, substitute half of the chicken broth with cream of chicken soup.
- You can also add herbs like parsley or basil for extra flavor.
- For a spicy kick, mix in some diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the chicken mixture.
