Description

A delicious and flavorful Chicken Adana Kebab recipe that is perfect for grilling enthusiasts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Skewers (soaked in water if wooden)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Add the olive oil and lemon juice to the mixture, and mix again until smooth and well combined.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the mixture to firm up.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  5. Divide the chicken mixture into equal portions (about 6-8) and mold each portion around a skewer, pressing firmly to ensure it adheres.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and has nice grill marks.
  7. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the Chicken Adana Kebabs with pita bread, fresh vegetables, and your favorite sauce, such as tzatziki or garlic yogurt.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of cayenne pepper to the mixture.
  • For a smoky flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika or grilling over charcoal instead of gas.
