Description
A delicious and creamy dessert featuring a graham cracker crust, rich cream cheese filling, and topped with cherry pie filling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are well coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled graham cracker crust.
- Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it out evenly.
- Refrigerate the dessert for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder to the cream cheese mixture.
- Substitute the cherry pie filling with blueberry or strawberry for a different flavor profile.
