- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the sour cream and mix until well combined.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, press the graham cracker mixture into the bottom to form a crust.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the crust, followed by half of the cherry pie filling. Repeat the layers with the remaining cream cheese mixture and cherry filling.
- If using, sprinkle chopped walnuts on top for added crunch.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
