Description

A comforting and delicious casserole combining cheesy macaroni and savory meatloaf, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup cooked macaroni
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, cooked macaroni, marinara sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and remove from heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the egg, breadcrumbs, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
  5. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the meat mixture, followed by the breadcrumb mixture, and then the remaining meat mixture on top.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • For a veggie boost, mix in some steamed broccoli or spinach before baking.
