Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup cooked macaroni
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, cooked macaroni, marinara sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and remove from heat.
- In a separate bowl, combine the egg, breadcrumbs, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the meat mixture, followed by the breadcrumb mixture, and then the remaining meat mixture on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- For a veggie boost, mix in some steamed broccoli or spinach before baking.
