Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and frozen peas and carrots. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the beef mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture.
- You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
