Description

A delicious and comforting casserole combining the flavors of cheeseburgers and tater tots.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and frozen peas and carrots. Mix until well combined.
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the beef mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture.
  • You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
