Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and add the diced potatoes, carrots, and celery. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Slowly stir in the milk and sour cream, heating through but not boiling.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.
