Description
Cheeseburger Eggrolls are a delicious twist on traditional eggrolls, filled with a savory mixture of ground beef, cheese, and fresh vegetables, perfect for a tasty snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup dill pickles, chopped
- 12 eggroll wrappers
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Once the beef mixture has cooled, stir in the cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles until well combined.
- Lay an eggroll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Place about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly. Seal the top corner with a little water. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a deep skillet or pot, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F.
- Carefully add a few eggrolls at a time to the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ketchup or mustard.
Notes
- For a healthier version, bake the eggrolls at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, brushing them lightly with oil for a crispy texture.
- Customize the filling by adding cooked bacon bits or swapping the cheddar cheese for pepper jack for a spicy kick.
