Description
A delicious layered dessert combining rich brownie, creamy cheesecake, and sweet caramel.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups brownie mix (plus ingredients required for preparation)
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions. Bake in a greased 9×9 inch pan and let cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- Once the brownies are cooled, cut them into small squares.
- In a large trifle dish or individual serving cups, layer the ingredients: start with a layer of brownie squares, followed by a layer of the cream cheese mixture, a drizzle of caramel sauce, a sprinkle of mini chocolate chips, and a layer of crushed graham crackers.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of the cream cheese mixture and a drizzle of caramel sauce on top. Sprinkle with chopped pecans if desired.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the trifle to set.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate brownies instead of regular.
- You can also substitute the caramel sauce with chocolate sauce for a different twist.
