Description

A decadent dessert combining rich brownie, creamy cheesecake, and a luscious caramel swirl.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  7. Spoon the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer, spreading it gently.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top of the cheesecake layer. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the two batters together.
  9. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top and use the knife to swirl it into the batter for a marbled effect.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Allow to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • You can substitute the caramel sauce with chocolate sauce for a different twist.
