Description

A delicious recipe for blackened salmon topped with a creamy Dijon sauce, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the olive oil over both sides of the salmon fillets, then coat them evenly with the spice mixture.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a blackened crust.
  5. While the salmon is cooking, prepare the creamy Dijon sauce by whisking together the sour cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and honey in a small bowl until smooth.
  6. Once the salmon is done, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Serve the blackened salmon with a generous drizzle of the creamy Dijon sauce on top.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the cayenne pepper to 1 1/2 teaspoons.
  • Serve with a side of sautéed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
