Description
Delicious and flavorful Beef Asada Street Tacos made with marinated flank steak and fresh toppings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds flank steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
- Add the flank steak to the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness (135°F for medium-rare).
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
- While the steak is resting, warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable.
- To assemble the tacos, place a few slices of steak on each tortilla. Top with chopped cilantro, diced onion, and diced tomatoes. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce on top of the tacos.
- Substitute flank steak with skirt steak or sirloin for a different flavor profile.
