Description

A savory and easy Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry recipe that combines ground beef and fresh broccoli in a delicious sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Add the minced garlic and stir for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and sauté for 3-4 minutes until vibrant and tender-crisp.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water until cornstarch is dissolved.
  6. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Finish with sesame oil (if using) and season with salt and pepper.
  9. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute the ground beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein.
  • Make sure not to overcook the broccoli to maintain its crunch.
