- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter. Stir until well blended.
- Add the baking soda and salt to the banana mixture, mixing until combined.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing just until incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chopped pecans gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon or nutmeg to the batter.
- Substitute walnuts for pecans for a different nutty flavor, or add chocolate chips for a sweeter twist.
