Description
A decadent dessert combining layers of chocolate cake, creamy Baileys cheesecake, and rich chocolate pudding, perfect for indulgence.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup Baileys Irish Cream
- 1 cup chocolate pudding (prepared)
- 1 cup chocolate cake, crumbled (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup chocolate shavings or grated chocolate (for garnish)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue to beat until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- In a trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer the ingredients starting with a layer of chocolate cake crumbles at the bottom.
- Drizzle a layer of Baileys Irish Cream over the cake crumbles, allowing it to soak in slightly.
- Add a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top of the cake, followed by a layer of chocolate pudding.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top.
- Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
- Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings and fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute reduced-fat cream cheese and whipped topping.
- For added texture, mix in crushed cookies or nuts between the layers.
