Description

A decadent dessert combining layers of chocolate cake, creamy Baileys cheesecake, and rich chocolate pudding, perfect for indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 cup chocolate pudding (prepared)
  • 1 cup chocolate cake, crumbled (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings or grated chocolate (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue to beat until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
  3. In a trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer the ingredients starting with a layer of chocolate cake crumbles at the bottom.
  4. Drizzle a layer of Baileys Irish Cream over the cake crumbles, allowing it to soak in slightly.
  5. Add a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top of the cake, followed by a layer of chocolate pudding.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top.
  7. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  8. Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings and fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute reduced-fat cream cheese and whipped topping.
  • For added texture, mix in crushed cookies or nuts between the layers.
