Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, granulated sugar, and 1 tablespoon of flour. Toss until the apples are well coated.
  3. Pour the apple mixture into a greased 9-inch pie dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix the rolled oats, 1/2 cup flour, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
