Description

Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Bites are a crispy and flavorful appetizer made with bite-sized pieces of chicken coated in a seasoned breadcrumb mixture and tossed in buffalo sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Celery sticks and ranch dressing for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, place the beaten eggs.
  4. In a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.
  5. Dip each piece of chicken into the flour mixture, then the eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange the coated chicken bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Spray the chicken bites lightly with cooking spray for extra crispiness.
  8. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. In a small bowl, mix the buffalo sauce and melted butter.
  10. Once the chicken is done, toss the bites in the buffalo sauce mixture until well coated.
  11. Serve immediately with celery sticks and ranch dressing, if desired.

Notes

  • For a milder flavor, use a mild buffalo sauce or mix it with a little honey.
  • Add some shredded cheese to the chicken bites before air frying for a cheesy twist.
